Before he was swirling glasses and crafting brand stories at Cellar Beast Winehouse, Scott was jumping out of airplanes as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s legendary 82nd Airborne Division. He spent his days intercepting enemy communications and decoding battlefield chatter—skills that, believe it or not, translate surprisingly well to the world of marketing: listen carefully, decode the message, and deliver insight with impact.
After trading in his combat boots for textbooks, Scott earned his BBA from Temple University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, setting the stage for a 25-year career leading brand and marketing efforts at powerhouse companies like Lutron Electronics, Victaulic, and Acuity Brands Lighting.
Scott’s wine journey began in the sun-soaked plazas of Sevilla, Spain, where he fell hard for bold Riojas, crisp Albariños, and the soulful complexity of Sherries from Jerez. Later, his career took him across Latin America, where Malbecs in Mendoza and Carménères in Chile deepened his appreciation for wines with bold character and a good backstory—just like him.
At Cellar Beast, Scott combines his passion for storytelling, strategic thinking, and all things vino to help share the magic behind every bottle.
When he’s not building brands or exploring new vintages, Scott lives in Bethlehem, PA with his wife Julie, their two sons Bryce and Gavin, and Macy, the family’s four-legged chaos creator.
From battlefield intelligence to vintage storytelling, Scott brings a unique blend of grit, global perspective, and grape-fueled enthusiasm to the Cellar Beast team.
