Creamy Texture Meets Vibrant Acidity

An Old World soul born in the Yakima Valley. Cellar Beast Winehouse’s 2023 Chardonnay Reserve from Airport Ranch Vineyard is hand-harvested and cold-transported to Pennsylvania, then aged in 100% French oak (30% new). Unfiltered and elegant, it shows stone fruit, truffle, and creamy minerality—built to age or enjoy now with roasted poultry or lobster risotto.

Special Notes About Region and Varietal

    • Varietal Character: Chardonnay from Washington’s Yakima Valley expresses a unique tension between ripeness and restraint — sunlit fruit framed by vibrant acidity. The 2023 Reserve highlights this balance through whole-cluster pressing, unfiltered purity, and patient aging in French oak.
    • Vineyard Source: The Airport Ranch Vineyard near Benton City sits on the eastern edge of Yakima Valley, where warm days and cool, desert nights create ideal conditions for slow, even ripening. The site’s loamy soils and steady diurnal shift foster the region’s hallmark minerality and fine structure.
    • Regional Distinction: Yakima Valley is Washington’s oldest AVA, celebrated for its Chardonnay that rivals Burgundy in finesse. At Cellar Beast Winehouse, we honor this terroir by transporting the fruit cold to Pennsylvania and crafting it with traditional Old World techniques — bridging West Coast vineyards and East Coast cellar mastery.

    What Our Guests Are Saying

10/10 we can’t recommend this place enough! We live in Lancaster and make the trip as often as we can because Cellar Beast has the best wine! Each and every employee is passionate and knowledgeable about their craft and it’s apparent. The events they host are always a good time, and very well thought out. We can’t wait to go back each & every time!

    VP of Company

The best thing i liked about cellar beast is their wine tasting and the folks who are working at the place. They have immense knowledge about the process of wine making and different wines they have. The tasting itself allows you to taste 10 plus wines which in its own is amazing! They don’t have fruity wines but whatever collection they have is amazing. An amazing experience for sure.

There’s some fabulous wine here, and I even joined their wine club today! I’m a dry red drinker and I was not disappointed. They definitely have something special going on! Great grounds as well. We spent a nice Saturday afternoon here, and will be back! Oh the cider was good too. Not sweet, dry but also quite tart, almost apple cider vinegar tart. So if that’s your thing, go for it.
